Brian Harrington is a personal injury lawyer in St. Petersburg, FL. He has always considered St. Pete his home. Living in the warm climate has allowed him to enjoy various outdoor sports, athletic competitions, and events, such as week-long bicycle trips in the Colorado Rockies, La Vuelta, Puerto Rico, Ride Across Florida, and Triathlons. As a result of his cycling and participation in Triathlons, Harrington has developed a niche practice representing those struck by vehicles while riding their bikes or exercising. Always a proponent of giving back, Harrington has served as a founding Board member of the Suncoast Ronald McDonald House. He served on the Board for eight years, and as President for two years. As an elected member of the National Board of Directors of USA Triathlon, he represented the Florida Region for seven years. During his terms on the board he chaired numerous committees, was elected Vice President, and President. USA Triathlon is the governing body for the sport under the US Olympic Committee.
Brian Harrington is also a member of the Ambassadors Board for the Navy SEAL Foundation Frogman Swim. All of the proceeds from of the event go directly to the families of SEALS killed either in action or in training.

Brian Harrington has practiced law in a number of firm settings from 1974 to the present, always focusing on civil trial litigation. Harrington has experience working as a litigation partner in larger firms, as well as working in a smaller firm settings. Including forming his own practice in 1991. In the past, he has served as an officer with the St. Petersburg Bar Association, and is a member of various civil trial lawyer organizations. Notably, Harrington is an AV Rated Attorney.
He has participated in many trials during his years of practice, both Jury and Non Jury, in Civil Courts throughout the State of Florida, as well as in Federal Court. Cases have included many commercial business litigation matters, personal injury actions, both plaintiff and defendant, as well an numerous vehicle, cyclist, and vehicle – pedestrian cases. Harrington is licensed to practice in all of the Courts in the State of Florida, as well as in the Federal Courts.
A Prestigious Education
Harrington attended Mercer University his freshman year, and transferred to the University of South Florida, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1971.
Harrington attended Notre Dame Law School on an academic scholarship and graduated in 1974. “Those three years away from Florida convinced me Florida was a great place to live, so I returned to start practicing law in 1974.”
